Suki Schorer
Suki Schorer began dancing with the San Francisco Ballet and then joined the New York City Ballet in 1959. In 1968, she was named principal dancer and performed a myriad of soloist roles created specifically for her. She assisted George Balanchine during his workshops and auditions. A life member of the School of American Ballet since 1972, she teaches, auditions the dancers and re produces Balanchine’s ballets. She also gives conferences on Balanchine technique and style.
In 1999, she published “Suki Schorer on Balanchine Technique” translated into French and Italian in 2009.
