T.M. Rives

T.M. Rives is a writer and filmmaker based in New York City. A longtime collaborator with Alexander Ekman, he specializes in performing arts video and documentary. More recent films include “Play Serious” (2018), which follows the production of Ekman’s “Play” at the Paris Opera, and “The Director Never Runs” (2020), an exploration of the Staatsballett Berlin and the tensions that can arise when contemporary and classical live under one roof.
