Aurélien Richard is a pianist, composer and choreographer. He has studied with some of the greatest pianists, including Éliane Richepin, Charles Rosen, Pierre-Laurent Aimard, Florent Boffard, Michaël Levinas and Roger Muraro. He has been awarded the Prix Yvonne Loriod-Messiaen and the Prix de la Sacem. As a concert artist, he performs in Europe, the United States, Japan and South America. Having worked as a vocal coach at the Opéra National de Paris and the Théâtre Musical du Châtelet, he has accompanied such prestigious singers as Natalie Dessay, Renée Fleming, Susan Graham, Claire Lefilliâtre, Jennifer Borghi, Mathias Vidal, Alain Buet and Marc Mauillon. As a composer, he won the prize for best sound and musical creation at the 14th Côté Court film festival in Pantin in 2005.
He has worked on numerous choreographic projects as a musician, composer and performer, notably with Cecilia Bengolea and François Chaignaud, Maud Le Pladec, Julia Cima, Mié Coquempot, David Wampach and others. He also writes his own shows and performances, crossing musical scores as part of his LIMINAL project.
