Vanessa Le Mat

Trained in the Conservatory in La Rochelle then in the Rudra Béjart’s School in Lausanne, Vanessa Le Mat studied singing, theatre, kendo and dance. She first performed in the Béjart Ballet Lausanne, then went on to the Lyon National Opera Ballet before joining the Frankfurt Ballet, then directed by William Forsythe, in 2001. From 2003, concurrently to her work as a performer and associate alongside William Forsythe, she has initiated her own projects and collaborates with a myriad of artists on films, choreographic designs, improvisation systems and interventions. In 2007, she founded her own company, Walking Productions.

Vanessa is a highly qualified movement specialist, holding certifications as a Pilates instructor, Ballet Master, Meditator, Gyrokinesis trainer, and Yoga teacher.
