After a degree in German (Université Rennes II) and a spell at the Conservatoire de Rennes, Aude Lachaise took the Ex.erce course at the Centre Chorégraphique National de Montpellier in 2000.

She has worked as a dancer with a wide range of choreographers including Estzer Salamon, Robyn Orlin, Félix Rückert, Nathalie Pernette and Olga Mesa. Along with Virginie Thomas, Pauline Curnier-Jardin and Maeva Cunci, she is a member of the performance girls-band Les Vraoums.

In 2009, she created and performed a solo, Marlon, a monologue about desire, which won the KBC JONG THEATER PRIJS at the ‘Theater aan zee’ festival in Ostend in 2011. This solo has been performed around a hundred times in France and abroad. The text has been published by Lansman.

She has also acted in short films by photographer Noritoshi Hirakawa and Marjolaine Grandjean.

With Michaël Allibert, she created La fille au Sujet à Vif at the Avignon Festival in 2012.

In 2014, she created Naufrage, a short play in duet with Gilles Nicolas, and J’aime, a play for amateurs, at the Festival à Domicile in Guissény.

In 2015, En Souvenir de l’Indien premiered in Ostend at the Teater aan Zee festival. In 2016, the play toured the CDC network.

Her concerns revolve around questions of textual writing, which she attempts to stage using her choreographic tools.
