Paul Girard

After training at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, he worked as a dancer-performer with several international companies: the national theaters of Leipzig and Sarrbrucken, in Germany, and the ballet of the Grand Théâtre de Genève, in Swiss.

This institutional journey allows him to dance pieces from the repertoire (Balanchine, Kurt Joos, Dominique Bagouet, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui) and to collaborate with many choreographers such as Emmanuel Gat, Marco Goecke, Benjamin Millepied, Michel Kelemenis, Joëlle Bouvier, Andonis Foniadakis , to mention a few.

During the summer of 2015, he was one of the artists selected for the Watermill summer program, in NYC, under the supervision of Bob Wilson.

He has continued his freelance career for 2015 years between France and Switzerland, alongside several authors: Cindy Van Acker, Pierre Pontvianne, Roméo Castellucci, Jasmine Morand, Michel Kelemenis, Jérémy Tran.

Holder of the state diploma, he is developing in parallel a mediation / transmission activity, working at La Manufacture, high school of performing arts, at Marchepied, in Lausanne, as well as in several schools (Charivari project in partnership with the farm du Buisson and Hermann Diephuis) and he assisted Cindy Van Acker in 2018 at the Salzburg festival for the creation of “Salomé”, directed by Roméo Castellucci.

He is part of the 2019-2020 promotion of the experimental master in political arts created by Bruno Latour at Sciences po Paris.
