Kevin Gay is a French author and director.
At 18, he started on film sets. He learned the profession of assistant director, stage manager, electro, machino and even boom operator on documentaries, short films and video clips.
He entered the ESRA and specialized in the frame and the light.
Graduated, he founded several collectives including the Racine collective. With Racine, he won in 2015, 2018 and 2019 the prize for best performance, the grand jury prize and the prize for best documentary at the Urban Film Festival in Paris.
For 10 years, he worked as a videographer and photographer in nightclubs in the Parisian capital. This universe nourishes him and inspires him several writing projects.
He directs several clips for artists like Jeanne Added, Vitalic, Emilie Simon, Kas: st, but also films centered on dance, in which he tries each time to tell a story.
Inspired by the cinema of the 70s, he likes the genre. He does not hesitate to conduct surveys, interview people, search archives to write his scripts.
