Festival de danse de Cannes

Created in 1985 by the City of Cannes, the Cannes – Côte d’Azur France Dance Festival is undoubtedly one of the largest international festivals. The creation of this Festival is part of a historic relationship between the City of Cannes and the world of Dance, thanks in particular to the dynamic generated by the opening of the Rosella Hightower International Dance Center in 1961. Since 1993, to the rhythm of a biennial, the event has found its identity, relying on numerous creations presenting new talents from the choreographic scene and the work of major international companies. With MOV’IN Cannes, the festival celebrates the meeting of contemporary dance and the 7th Art and highlights this magnificent relationship by launching an international dance film competition under the artistic direction of Didier Deschamps and Éric Oberdorff.
