Renata Ferraz was born in São Paulo, Brazil. Her undergraduate degree is in Performing Arts and Master degree in Multimedia – Audiovisual. She worked exclusively as a theatre actress for 12 years. In 2007, she founded the Corrosivo (Multimedia Art Collective), and then began a research in video-performance and experimental video. In 2010, she attended an auto-residence, all_ice, in London, where she could develop some video projects. Since 2012 she has been working in partnership with other artists and creating films from the dialogue with previous pieces made by them. Currently, she is a Ph.D. researcher in Performing Arts and Moving Image at Lisbon University (Research Grant – CAPES Foundation, Ministry of Education of Brazil).

In 2007, she created Corrosivo, Colectivo Múltimédia with whom she carried out different projects in Brasil, France and Spain. As video artist her main works are: “Permuta” (2008), “Curiouser e Estranhisérrimo” (2009), “Another Place” (2010). Her recently production is the video-dance “Corpo sem Órgãos”, joining the dancer Valentina Parravicini.
