Maëlle Deral

Originally from Saint Etienne, Maëlle Deral trained as a dancer-performer at Coline (Istres), where she worked with Mathilde Monnier, Nacera Belaza, Shlomi Tuizer and Edmond Russo, Georges Appaix. In 2014, she worked with Luc Petton on the creation Light Bird. Since 2015, she has co-directed the Le Scribe company with Adel El shafey. Holder of a D.E in contemporary dance since 2017, she regularly works with a wide range of audiences.
She performs with Compagnie Gilles Jobin in Dance Trail, Magic Window and Real Time. Winner of the Dansathon 2018, organized by the Maison de la Danse de Lyon, she collaborated with Eric Minh Cuong Castaing’s Shonen company on the Vibes project.
With her collaborator Adel El shafey, she created and performed Abysses in 2020, as part of the Golovine theater’s associate artist program. In addition to the creation of Yalla, my friends, which will see the light of day in February 2023 at the CCN d’Aix-en-Provence.
