“Three stages mark my journey until today. The first is my experience of gymnastics, practiced in competition until adolescence and which was the domain of the physical body. The second step is my experience of contemporary dance and the encounters it has generated; the one with Jean-Claude Gallotta was the most striking. His domain was that of the sensitive body which went hand in hand with a certain emancipation of the personality. It lasted a long time. The third step is the experience of an internal art, the Bagua, which touches the subtle body. It is a step towards emancipation and freedom. This art encompasses the other two. I discovered it thanks to Mr. Denis Lécuyer, who has been teaching for several years in Aubenas in Ardèche. Everything else is under the guise of selective amnesia. “A.D.
