Tilde Björfors

Tilde Björfors is the founder and Artistic Director of Cirkus Cirkör, one of the  world’s leading contemporary circus companies. Tilde is also the first  Professor of circus at the University College of Dance and Circus (DOCH)  in Sweden. Cirkus Cirkör consists of two parts: arts and education –  closely intertwined. Tilde has directed most of Cirkör’s performances,  which all have toured internationally (including BAM in NYC).

Through  Cirkus Cirkör, Tilde has developed a center for artistic research  called Cirkör LAB, offering residencies and support for  multidisciplinary artists and companies. As a professor at DOCH she presented the research project Circus – crossing borders in art and society.
