Marion Alzieu
Marion developed a passion for dance in all its forms at a very young age. It begins with classical and modern dance. She follows a 4-year vocational training course (2006-2010) between the James Carlès Center (Toulouse) and the Coline company (Istres).
Marion joined the Jasmin Vardimon Dance Company in London and worked at the Royal Opera House.
When she came back to France, in addition to being an intern in several performances by Emmanuel Gat, she worked for the companies of Salia Sanou, Hervé Chaussard, Amala Dianor and Serge Aimé Coulibaly.
Her experiences as a performer and her career lead her to enrich her research and knowledge. She touches on several styles and techniques (classical, modern-dance, hip-hop, some traditional African dances, contemporary, yoga, feldenkrais, gaga).
In 2013, Marion embarked on choreography. She created the duo “En terre d’attente” for the FIDO Festival (Burkina-Faso) and then presented it at La Parenthèse during the Festival Off en Avignon in 2014.
In 2014, she founded her company, the Ma company, and created her second piece, the solo “This is not a white woman”.
The piece toured in Europe and Africa in particular and received several distinctions at various European competitions (Poland, Italy, France, Spain).
This recognition gives her the opportunity to create her third piece “W”, duet with musician Michael Avron. In November 2019, she presented the finalized piece to the CAD in Montmélian.
In 2018, she co-choreographed the Villeurbanne group, for the Biennale de la Danse de Lyon parade. In collaboration with Sigue Sayouba (cie Teguerer), she stages a choreography for 300 amateur dancers.
Holder of the State Diploma of dance teacher, Marion has been working since 2018 with several professional training courses (the I.D training in Feyzin and the Calabash training in Lyon).
