Rachel Agbeti

A rising star in the Togolese dance scene, Rachel AGBETI was born in Togo on 7 July 1997. She developed a taste for dance at the University of Lomé. Rachel started out with the famous Marvel Dancing group, dancing to Afro-Caribbean and Latin standards.

She quickly excelled in the field and began to be noticed on stages. Always thirsty for knowledge, Rachel decided to court other dance styles such as hiphop, contemporary etc….

In 2022, she took part in the casting for the House of Dancing Artists, which was to be the start of a new adventure focusing on interpretation and performance.

That same year, under the artistic direction of La Maison, she took part in the DTCA programme run by the Togolese choreographer Kossi AFIADEGNIGBAN, and had the chance to work for at least 2 weeks with the Togolese choreographer Samuel ZIKPONOU for a performance at the Institut Français du TOGO. Then at the FA’ART festival organised by the ASSIBART-TOGO association for capacity-building, which will also end with a performance at the DEYNIGBA cultural centre.

Today, without reservation, we can say that Rachel is approaching the very restricted circle of dancers who can truly represent Togo beyond its borders.
