The company Accord des nous was founded in 2011 by two artists: Cédric Préhaut and Vivien Visentin. The two choreographers’ worlds intersect, merge and respond to each other in their creations.

The heart of their choreographic research lies in the relationship that each individual has with the body. Whether it’s a tool, a means of expression or a means of protest, the body has meaning, and the two artistic directors explore the issues at stake. Drawing their inspiration from literature (for the general public and young people), art objects and social events, they illuminate the intimate or social subjects they tackle through the prism of the body and the senses.

Aware that artistic disciplines need to interact, they work in a multidisciplinary environment, inviting other artists (visual artists, musicians, actors, circus performers, etc.) to take part in their creations. These numerous exchanges with other disciplines underpin their work, as each brings a new angle from which to observe the links between individuals and the body.

This desire for dialogue is also reflected in the company’s artistic initiatives, which give pride of place to collaborative teaching and exchanges with different audiences (schools, universities, training centres, dance schools, amateurs, professionals, etc.).

Drawing on their different backgrounds, Cédric and Vivien deploy their creativity with accuracy and precision to create pieces that ‘take shape’ in all their dimensions: choreography, lighting, sound and staging. Their creations, through a double reading game, are intended to be accessible to all. Their curiosity and ingenuity give rise to works that are striking, demanding and sensitive, where emotion meets performance.
