The WLDN company, directed by choreographer Joanne Leighton, is made up of twelve intergenerational choreographic artists and loyal artistic collaborators who have been with the company for many years. Its works are presented in France and internationally, and take a variety of forms.
In recent years, the company’s creations have been geared towards large-scale productions, bringing together a large number of dancers, while more intimate forms, such as duets and quartets, continue to feature in the repertoire.
The choreographer also proposes site-specific pieces, taking the form of veritable urban installations, as well as participatory performances presented outside the walls, on the move or in the countryside. Original musical compositions play a central role in Joanne Leighton’s works, which are also marked by a visual plasticity that incorporates video, costume design and elaborate set design.
