Kelemenis & cie / KLAP Maison pour la danse

Kelemenis&cie was founded in 1987 to support the creative and performance projects of choreographer Michel Kelemenis. A lover of movement and dancers, of those exceptional moments when gesture becomes a role, Kelemenis’s work is based on the search for a balance between abstraction and figuration. With a style that combines finesse and performance, the choreographer is sought after by the ballets of the Opéra de Paris, du Rhin, du Nord, Geneva and Marseille; he takes part in numerous international cooperation projects in Europe, Africa and Asia, and also devotes himself to advanced training and access to the profession. In 2011, KLAP Maison pour la danse was inaugurated in Marseille, a 2,000 m2 facility dedicated to choreographic creation and culture.
