Les porteuses de mauvaises nouvelles

In 1989, after a residency at the Centre National de Danse  Contemporaine d’Angers (France), Wim Vandekeybus created Les porteuses  de mauvaises nouvelles. Les porteuses de mauvaises nouvelles explores  and develops the confrontation between the actor and the imminent,  inescapable elements of reality: weight, duration, falling, breath.

15 years later, Ultima Vez did a revival of this creation in  collaboration with Companhia Instável in Porto, Portugal. Departure  point was the desire to confront young dancers with Vandekeybus’ very  specific movement language and to enrich the Portuguese performance  scene. Eight dancers of seven different nationalities are involved in  the project, the main aim being to create a project stimulating artistic  exchange and contamination.
