Compagnie Mpta - Carnets de création

Initiated by the City of Lyon, the “Creation Notebooks” video project offers immersion through images at the heart of the creative work of Lyon’s cultural structures in times of health crisis.
Between November 2020 and March 2021, the Maison de la Danse hosted the company Les Mains les Pieds et la Tête Aussi on several occasions. The Mpta residences allowed work around 3 axes:
>> Companionship: Emma Verbeke and Corentin Diana, young acrobats and companions of the Mpta, worked on their first piece “À nos vertiges”.
>> Laboratory: The “Nos Cabanes” project was an opportunity for the company to invite acrobats, sound artists and musicians for an artistic research laboratory.
>> Rehearsals: A necessary time to rehearse the creation “Les Hauts Plateaux” which made it possible to summon bodies and memories.
