Pasionaria
Founded in 2005, the interdisciplinary company, La Veronal, has found success with allegorical and complex works. She draws her inspiration from theater, cinema and the visual arts. Marcos Morau, its artistic director, composes worlds which are so many distorting mirrors of ours. With Pasionaria, he unveils a new “planet”, where the utopia of our present has turned into a nightmare: the very texture of the world has become artificial, and technology ends up cutting humans off from their emotions. With his disjointed and theatrical dance that makes every muscle vibrate, the Spanish choreographer plunges us into a powerful and dark universe, supported by a polished scenography. Here he delivers a metaphorical reflection on alienation and the role of passion in our existence.
