Another look at memory
Anne-Sophie Lancelin, Raphael Cottin and Anne-Emmanuelle Deroo are the three most faithful dancers of Thomas Lebrun. Their extreme sensitivity and their unison with the cord magnify a chiseled writing, all finesse. Palimpseste, Another look at memory, refers to Marguerite Duras’s words, which the choreographer uses again: “You know, I do not always understand very well what I’m saying. What I just know is that it’s completely true. Thomas Lebrun, director of the Tours National Choreographic Center, pays tribute to “those bodies that tell stories of these bodies, theirs and those of others”. What he knows is that they dance true and with them, on the music of Philip Glass, he brews the memory so that, again, something happens, remember tomorrow. Memory and transmission combine for a happy reunion with the very delicate dance of the choreographer.
