Ana Renata Polónia
Ana Renata Polónia (1985, Porto) validate in 2009 a Master’s degree in Architecture with a thesis exploring the relationship between dance and space, through the analysis of video-dance of the 90s. She is interested by the movement as a form of space exploration. She has always searched for possible relationships between various artistic fields.
In 2012 she directed “A Dimensão Oculta by Renata Polónia” (“The Hidden Dimension of Renata Polónia”, Best Portuguese Film – InShadow ’12).
In 2013 she joined the group desNORTE, platform of choreographic sharing. She began the project “Mesa” (“Table”) with Teresa Santos and DíDac Gilabert.
In 2015 she entered advanced training in creation and choreographic interpretation in the company Instável, with “Yeborath”. She collaborated as an interpreter with Alice Gonçalves, Willi Dorner, Vera Mota, Catarina Miranda and Jonathan Saldanha, Cristina Planas Leitão and Jasmina Krizaj, Planas Leitão. Ana Renata Polónia lives and works in Oporto.
