Julien is choreographing his own work since his beginnings as an interpreter. Crossed by multiple influences, his work is based on the pleasure of improvisation, before getting the desire to leave traces and capture those ephemeral moments. The creation came to him as an evidence. His pieces are shared moments in which the dancers are printing their energies. His style is a fine gesture, organical and animal, made of precision. The movements are written and invent some limits in order to better deconstruct them later. Emotions are emerging from the body, touching the beauty and complexity of human relationships. Julien Ficely studied at «École Nationale de danse» of La Rochelle and then joined the “Jeune Ballet International Rosella Hightower” from 1998 to 2000. Until 2002, he danced for Nice Opera Ballet and “Opéra National du Rhin” before joining the CCN-Ballet de Lorraine, that he left in July 2012. During this period, his body language and his vision of dance have been fed by his interpretations and choreographic encounters.
