Xavier Boissarie
Game Designer and digital artist for 20 years, Xavier Boissarie moves away from the immaterial dimension attached to this field to better approach the embodied experience.
He explores mobile media in an attempt to hybridize tangible and digital spaces in different ways: creating 3D soundscapes in the public space, capturing and restoring the wandering experience through dynamic and interactive cartographic representations, the emancipation of the body in the public space via a protocol of instructions or, the hybridization of distant spaces by the synchronization of the bodies.
To work on these topics, Xavier Boissarie has assembled a team of game-designers, sound and visual artists or engineers in Orbe studio. The team conducts an intense research and development activity in close collaboration with various institutions in the cultural field: ACTE-PARIS 1 institute (INESM project), ENSADLAB (indoor geolocation, ANR CoSIMa project), ENSCI (project ANR Topophonie), IRCAM (ANR projects Topophonie and CoSiMa, H2020 project RAPID-MIX).
